Tree Information

Common Name: willow oak

Scientific Name: Quercus phellos

Category: Beautiful tree

Comments: This tree is symmetrical, fully-healthy, located atop a hill in the center of a well-landscaped lawn, and is also extremely large. When one stands under the tree, one senses that the tree is encompassing and defining its own part of the universe. Its trunk is roughly 25 feet in circumference, exceeding four successive arm reaches of a 6-foot tall man. Its width of shade is at least 123 feet, measured by paces and only considering limbs that come to within 5 feet of the ground.
