A Remarkable willow oak

Tree Information

Common Name: willow oak

Scientific Name: Quercus phellos

Category: Beautiful tree

Comments: This tree is so big and beautiful and is situated right in front of an office building in the Boulders complex in Richmond. It has a "raintree" kind of shape. It is gorgious every season including winter. It is in the midst of a big corporate development and someone had the good sense to save it when the area was developed several years ago. There may be a story related to how it was spared the axe.
