Comments: The tree is located next to a house constructed in 1859, known as "Braehead." It is located just past Lee's headquarters display on Lee Drive in the Fredericksburg BNational Civil War Battlefield Park. According to the person that nominated the tree, General Robert E. Lee tied his horse "Traveler" to this treee when visiting. The tree was nominated in 1991 by Jimmy Moore, Rt. 1 Box 774, Troutville, VA 24175.
