This site includes interactive panoramic photographs of a forest. In
these photographs, you can zoom in and out and pan around 360 degrees.
Also, by clicking with your mouse on some of the trees in the photograph,
you will see a description of that tree´s species, size, and timber
volume. Instructions are provided next to each panorama on how to use
these features.
This document explains what to do if your computer does not display
the panoramas correctly.
Part 1 - Browser Security Settings
Internet Explorer
Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Custom Level.
- Java VM must not be disabled in this menu.
- Under Scripting, Active Scripting must not be disabled
- Under Scripting, Scripting of Java Applets must not be disabled
In Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced.
The checkboxes under Microsoft VM and/or Java(Sun) (if you have
this) must be checked. "Enable Java Console" does not have
to be checked.
Netscape
Go to Tools -> Options -> Site Controls
'Enable Javascript' and 'Enable Java' must be checked.
Firefox
Go to Tools -> Options -> Web Features -> 'Enable Java' and
'Enable Javascript' must be checked
Part 2 - Firewall Settings
If you are using Zone Labs
Integrity Firewall or a similar firewall you may have Java and/or Javascript
blocked. Symptoms of this setting are a partially loaded page and/or
your browser has frozen and will not respond. Enabling your firewall
to accept Java and Javascript may still not work, so we recommend you
turn Zone Labs Firewall off while viewing this module. For further instruction
The bottom line....
If you do not wish to turn off your firewall or adjust browser
settings, you can view the
non-panoramic site.
