Comments: My home contains what is reported to have been one of the first log cabins on Bent Mountain, late 1700s. It is American chestnut and was refurbished by the folks I bought it from and a larger home built around it. Out back, near where the wellspring was, is an enormous oak tree. Over the years, old timers have estimated it to be 150, even 200 years old. Every time I look out my window or walk out to my pet cemetery and see "his" arms overarching the resting places of so many of my beloved animal friends, I am almost near tears- happy tears, of course.
