Comments: This tree sits just off the corner of the main house at Belle Monte farm in the historic Green Springs district of Louisa county. I would bet this tree, and a few others, are almost as old as the farm. I love the fact that high up in the canopy there are branches that are bigger than most normal trees. This tree is, by no means, unique on the farm as there are dozens of huge trees from oaks, pine and cedar to the giant catalpas in the front yard but this one never fails to impress me every time we are there.
