Comments: Thomas Jefferson planted several Chinaberry (Chinese Mahogany) trees at his home at Monticello. Those that are currently there I suspect may be replacements, but they are impressive and handsome trees. (Editor's note: Latin name added to nomination based on common name. Chinese cedrella is also known to be planted at Monticello.)
