Comments: This willow oak is located in the lawn at Hockley Farm on the Ware River, a property that can be traced back to the early 17th Century. This oak and several others were clearly planted to grace a colonial plantation and have been allowed space to grow a spreading crown. The lower branches of this oak have grown into the ground and back up again.
