Comments: This grove contains twelve oaks estimated to be 300+ years old. It was put into permanent conservation easement by the owners who were planning a subdivision of 40+ units. It is across the Old Winchester Road (a scenic byway) from Daniel Morgan's house "Saratoga" (also in easement). The owners agreed to preserve 4 1/2 acres along Rt. 723 to preserve the historic and scenic integrity of the raodway and cooperate with the wishes of the community.
