Common Name: common apple
Scientific Name: Malus pumila
Category: Unique tree
Comments: A big storm came thru and did a lot of damage to building and trees. Many of the branches broke down. Tree snapped and fell to the ground, onto the roofs, roads. Our best apple tree almost laid down on the ground with half of the roots still attached, half sticking up. We decided to try and save it, so we proped it up with a Y-stick for support until the roots got a hold again. What a nice surprise that the tree was growing fruit and doing well. It only had half as many apples, but we enjoyed every one of them.
