Comments: This tree is remarkable due to its size; 240" circumference, crown 90-95', and height est. 75-100' which makes it one of the largest cucumber trees in the state and the fact that it has survived and thrived being located within a few feet of an 1830s farm manor house in Charlottesville Virginia. The estate proper sports many specimen trees. Also see American sycamore. (Note: this is the third largest cucumbertree on record for Virignia in Septemeber 2006.)
