Common Name: crapemyrtle
Scientific Name: Lagerstroemia indica
Category: Old tree
Comments: The crapemyrtle is in historic Williamsburg. Going west on Duke of Gloucester Street, it is in a garden behind the leather shop, on the right. It is huge for a crapemyrtle - very twisted and craggy. An employee told me it was 120 years old. One of the historians there may know more about it but it is a beauty.

Best time to photograph: When it's blooming or now. Maybe late afternoon.
