Comments: I would like to nominate a pear tree on Jacobs Run Farm owned by Allan & Ada Marie (Crenshaw) Kindrick. The tree is on the farm that was a 1739 Patent to my grandfather eight generations back. I do not know the exact age of the tree but to quote my father Charles Crenshaw (1879 - 1974), "I picked pears from that tree when I was a tab of a boy". We picked five bushels of pears last fall and the tree was in full bloom again this spring. This tree means alot to our family and continues to be the site of numerous family picnics as it not only provides fruit and shade but many, many generations of memories.
