Common Name: flowering dogwood
Scientific Name: Cornus florida
Category: Beautiful tree
Comments: This tree is at least 50 plus years old, and it is one of the largest (approximately 40' or more)and most beautifully shaped Dogwoods I've seen. For about 2 - 3 weeks in the Spring, it's white color is almost blinding. In the Fall, it has deep red bracts, giving the appearance of flowering again.
