Comments: It is at the Wolf's Snare Plantation in Virginia Beach. The legend is that the tree was planted about 1740-42. This is 25 years after the plantation house was built. The owners planted the tree for their daughter. The top of the tree was hit by a tornado in 1998 and it lost a large lower branch. It is in good health now. A driveway encircles the foliage line of the tree.
