Chinese-quince Rosaceae Pseudocydonia sinensis

Leaf:Alternate, simple, elliptical to ovate, 2 to 4 inches long, finely serrated, shiny green above, paler but shiny beneath.
Flower:Perfect, 1 to 2 inches across, 5 pink petals, appearing in spring from last year's twigs.
Fruit:Large, yellow-green, oval pome, 4 to 7 inches long, ripen in fall, aromatic.
Twig:Slender, light brown to reddish brown, buds small, narrow leaf scar.
Bark:Very attractive, peeling off in patches similar to a sycamore, revealing shades of gray, green, orange and yellow.
Form:A small tree reaching up to 15 feet in height and often with multiple trunks.
