This database - compiled by the Native Tree Society, Champion Trees Certification Cadre, and Virginia Tech Dendrology Lab - contains highly accurate outstanding tree measurements and where to find these trees. The database is intended to serve as our most reliable record of species dimensional maximums.
This database should not be confused with the American Forests’ Big Tree Registry or the big tree registries maintained by each state that score trees by a combination of height, girth, and spread measurements.
