Fourth grade classes conducted the 4-H pine seedling project in the spring of 2000. Each student received two pine seedlings and Extension Agent Jan Baker led them in a study of seedling survival.

Here are the results:

Ms. Johnson's class- 14 of 20 seedlings survived, or 70%

Ms. Garwood's class- 9 of 21 seedlings survived, or 43%

Ms. Sumter's class- 15 of 21 seedlings survived, or 71%
