Fruit:A spiny bur with slender spines, 1 inch long.
Twig:Reddish brown with white pubescence, stout, brittle, narrow leaf scars.
Bark:Reddish brown and becoming smooth and shiny.
Form:A gangling, sprawling shrub to 6 feet.
