trailing raspberry Rosaceae Rubus pedatus

Leaf:Alternate, palmately compound with 3-5 leaflets, 1 1/2 inch long and wide; leaflets oval or obovate with serrate margins; shiny dark green with sunken veins above, paler below.
Flower:Species is monoecious; showy white single flowers (one inch across) with 5 petals; borne on long stalks to the same height as the leaves.
Fruit:Juicy, red, soft, a very loose multiple of 1-6 drupes, ripen mid summer; sweet and edible. When picked they separate from the fleshy core forming a hollow shell.
Twig:Thornless.
Bark:
Form:A very low trailing shrub or perennial herb that roots at the nodes, mostly less than 6 inches.
