creeping raspberry Rosaceae Rubus hayata-koidzumii
Leaf:Alternate, simple, evergreen or very tardily deciduous; orbicular with 3-5 lobes, 1 1/2 inches long, dark green and distinctly wrinkled above, paler and pubescent below; margins are crenate to serrate; petioles are long and densely hairy.
Flower:Perfect, complete; large (about 3/4 inches in diameter), white, occur either singly or paired, appearing in early summer.
Fruit:Yellow to red or salmon colored aggregate of drupelets; sweet and delicious.
Twig:Green, densely hairy, and armed with small curved prickles.
Form:A very low growing, creeping shrub that forms a dense groundcover, to 1 foot.
