How many end buds do you have?

	The oaks often have multiple end (or multiple terminal) buds. You also see multiple terminal buds on the spur shoots of fruit trees. Look for more than three end buds.
	Most trees have single end buds, one large bud and an adjacent smaller bud (or two smaller buds if the arrangement is opposite).
