Description: Camperdown elm is an unusual umbrella-shaped cultivar of Wych ( Scots) elm. Discovered on the estate grounds of the Earl of Camperdown in the early 1800's, this variety is cultivated by grafting cuttings onto wild Ulmus glabra rootstocks. They are not known to reproduce naturally!
