Dr. John Seiler...... AKA Doctor Dendro

Originally from Pittsburgh Pa, he is a devoted Steeler fan. He loves being with his family, fishing, and playing football in his spare time. He bacame interested in the outdoors by reading Ranger Rick nature magzines.

Dr. Seiler went to college at Penn State where he double-majored in Forest Science and Environmental Resource Management. He also obtained his MS degree at Penn State. He then attended Virginia Tech to earn his Ph.D. in forest ecophysiology.

Dr. Seiler's research focuses on understanding how the environment modifies tree growth.

Dr. Seiler loves not only research but also teaching. He has been honored by winning numerous teaching awards.
